Liars Cheats and Thieves is an adventuring guild with roots stretching back to 2005, when its members first set out across Tyria in the original Guild Wars. In 2007, ArenaNet recognized Liar as a Guild of the Week, highlighting a community already built around tackling difficult challenges, exploring together, and helping one another pursue their goals.

Two decades later, the banners are still flying. Liar has crossed campaigns, continents, and generations of Guild Wars, but the purpose has stayed much the same: gather good people, share the adventure, and make Tyria a little more interesting along the way. Every member helps shape the guild, and many of our events and casual groups happen simply because someone decides to jump in and play.

That same spirit depends on mutual respect. Discrimination, abuse, and toxic behavior have no place here, but we also want people to feel comfortable being themselves. We’re a community of humans, not robots, and we learn as we go. Keep humor in good taste, treat people well, and bring any questions or concerns to an officer.
